Applause for Our Amazing Achievers

Friday mornings at our school burst into life as we gather to recognise the wonderful things our pupils have been achieving all week long.

Our Celebration Assembly is a weekly chance to showcase the determination, imagination and standout moments happening across the school. Whether it’s sporting victories, musical highlights or smashing those times tables, we take pride in applauding every accomplishment.

Well done to all the children who took home certificates today!

A message from Mr Turvey regarding Wednesday's House Captain Celebration:

"I was so proud of the house captains for the way they presented the dojos and celebrated each other's successes. Ash House won our termly attendance award, and we celebrated as the current leaders in the house competition. It was great to hear the house captains give a speech and celebrate the demonstration of our school values across the school."

Pears Class Get Creative With Winter-Themed Activities

This week, Pears Class embraced the winter weather with a series of hands-on, nature-inspired activities. During their forest session, the children crafted their own bird feeders, helping local wildlife stay well-fed through the colder months. They also explored the magic of ice by hammering frozen blocks to reveal hidden animals inside; an exciting mix of science and discovery!

Back in the classroom, the creativity continued as the pupils used a variety of shapes to design and build their very own penguins. It’s been a fantastic week of imagination, problem-solving and outdoor learning for Pears Class.

This week in Apples

This term in Apples, our topic is opposites, and this week we’ve been diving into the idea of ‘down’!

Inside, the Maths table turned into a mini investigation station. The children explored the scales, testing different objects to see what would make the bowls tip down. They also got stuck into the playdough pushers, pressing the dough down to create all sorts of exciting shapes.

Our pom pom drop was a huge hit! The children carefully dropped the pom poms down into the matching coloured tubes. Vinny even brought in her toy garage from home – everyone was mesmerised watching the cars zoom down the spiral slide.

Outside, the learning continued with guttering and tuff trays as the class built their own slopes for balls to roll down. And of course, there was plenty of fun jumping down from the crates!
