Achievement Assembly

Today’s assembly was a joyful celebration of our pupils’ many achievements. We were delighted to recognise children from across the school who received class awards, celebrating their effort, positive attitudes and commitment to learning.

We also proudly presented certificates for achievements beyond the classroom, including successes in swimming, karate and dance. These accomplishments highlight the wide range of talents and interests within our school community. It is always a pleasure to see how our pupils carry the values they learn in school into their activities outside of it.

We were also pleased to take a moment to recognise and thank Mel Knight, who has volunteered in Reception at St Andrew’s for the past 10 years. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, kindness and unwavering support for our children and staff. Her contribution over the years has made a lasting difference, and we thank her sincerely for everything she has done for our school community.

This Week in Apples

This week in Apples, we focused on winter alongside our topic of People Who Help Us, with a special emphasis on daddies and other male role models. We created polar bear pictures using forks and paint, then decorated them with a variety of different-shaped materials to add facial features. In the garden, the children enjoyed exploring and playing with ice, and they also loved building houses using wooden blocks. Well done, Apples!
