Celebrating Success in Assembly

We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our pupils during this week's assembly.

A huge congratulations to our Outside Achievers, who have demonstrated dedication, perseverance and success in their activities beyond school. We were also proud to recognise our Value Champions for Thankfulness, who have consistently shown appreciation, kindness and gratitude towards others.

A special well done goes to our Times Table Champions, whose hard work and commitment to practising their multiplication facts has been rewarded with fantastic success. We are incredibly proud of their determination and progress.

We were thrilled to celebrate the winners and participants of our Photography Competition. The entries showcased incredible creativity and a keen eye for capturing interesting moments and scenes.

Finally, a big well done to all the children who represented our school in the Panathlon. They demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event and were fantastic ambassadors for our school.

We are incredibly proud of all our children and look forward to celebrating many more achievements together in the coming weeks.

Members of our ECO Committee and Pupil Parliament recently visited the church gardens to plant daffodil bulbs. Thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts of our school community last year, we are proud to help transform the church grounds into a vibrant wildflower area. A huge thank you to all the children for their hard work and dedication!

This week, Year 5 were delighted to welcome Mrs Hunter for a fascinating workshop exploring the archives in preparation for our upcoming Remembrance Assembly.

Mrs Hunter took us on a journey through time as we uncovered the story of Private Arthur Abbotts, a soldier born in Hampton who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Through our research, we have gained a deeper understanding of his life and the important role he played in our local history.

We are incredibly grateful to Mrs Hunter for sharing her knowledge and helping us bring the past to life. We look forward to sharing our findings with the school at our Remembrance Assembly on 6th November.

🍏Apples 🍏

This week's Topic Book was The Three Little Pigs, a story that beautifully brought together all the themes we have explored this half term, including family, homes, feelings, our bodies, our senses and new experiences. The children were excited to learn a new creative technique, blow painting, and thoroughly enjoyed using puppets to retell the story. They had great fun trying to rescue the pigs from the mud, and the wet weather certainly didn't dampen their spirits! In our provision, the children also enjoyed playing with the Peppa Pig toys and demonstrated some fantastic building skills using the small Lego bricks.

Exploring Faiths in Our RE Room

Our RE Room has been transformed into an exciting learning space where children can explore a range of world religions through books, artefacts and interactive displays.

The themed tables help bring learning to life, encouraging pupils to develop their understanding of different beliefs, traditions and cultures while promoting respect for others and celebrating diversity.

Lantern Parade Timings

We will be gathering in the Market Square from 6pm.

The Parade sets off at 6:15pm through the Church Grounds and into Abbey Park, walking past three lots of performers at various points of our walk: EODs singers, Free Form Dancers and Morris Dancers.

We end at the Tree of Light by Workman Bridge at about 6:45 and join the people there for the celebrations, singing and the countdown to the amazing switch-on of the lights
