Achievement Assembly

Today's assembly was a wonderful celebration of the many achievements across our school. We were pleased to recognise pupils from every class who received awards for their hard work, positive attitudes and dedication to learning.

Certificates were also presented for accomplishments beyond the classroom, including success in Brownies, swimming and karate. These achievements showcase the wide range of talents within our school community and it is always a pleasure to see how pupils apply our school values in their activities outside of school.

Mr Walton, our Forest School Lead, received an award in recognition of his outstanding work, which has transformed our Forest School into a wonderful place to learn and enjoy.

Also, a special well done goes to Rawen who achieved his Platinum Times award. This is an impressive milestone that reflects determination and commitment. Well done!

History & Art Day

For history and art day, Year 3 were inspired by the style and ideas of Jaune Quick‑to‑See Smith, especially the way she uses maps, bold colours, and symbolic imagery to explore identity and place. We began by deciding what type of map we wanted to work with; either the United Kingdom, a map of Evesham, or even a map of our School grounds. This choice helped us think about the places that shape who we are and how we see the world around us. After choosing our map, we painted it using bright block colours, echoing Quick‑to‑See Smith’s expressive use of layered, contrasting tones. These colours helped divide the map into energetic sections and made the whole piece feel lively and meaningful. On top of the colours, we added symbols that represent things that matter to us, like personal interests, memories, cultural connections, or parts of our everyday lives.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital – Christmas Jumper Appeal 2025

During a recent assembly, we were delighted to share the wonderful news that our Christmas Jumper Appeal in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital raised an impressive £392.00.

They thanked everyone who took part by wearing their festive jumpers and contributing so generously. The kindness and community spirit shown by our pupils, families and staff will help support the vital care and services provided by the hospital to children and families who need it most.

We are incredibly proud of our school community for coming together for such a worthwhile cause – well done to all involved!

This Week in Apples

This week in Apples, the children learned all about the police. They thoroughly enjoyed taking part in an outdoor police station role-play, dressing up as officers and pretending to put people in jail.

On Thursday 5th February, the school held a History and Art Day. Apples explored the artwork ‘We Are Youth’ by Keith Haring and loved working together to recreate it.

Dressing-Up Costumes Needed!

The Orchard children are absolutely loving dressing up at the moment and have been creating some wonderful imaginative play in class. To help keep this enthusiasm going, we would be very grateful for any spare dressing-up costumes you may have at home.

If you have any outfits that your child has outgrown or no longer uses, we would love to give them a new home at school. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, it really does make a big difference to our children’s learning and enjoyment.
