Achievement Assembly

Today’s assembly was a fantastic celebration of the many achievements across our school. Pupils from every class were recognised with awards for their hard work, positive attitudes and commitment to learning.

A special congratulations goes to two pupils who proudly received their Platinum Times Tables Awards, which is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects dedication and perseverance in mastering their multiplication facts.

Certificates were also presented for accomplishments beyond the classroom, including successes in Rainbows, swimming and gymnastics. These achievements highlighted the wide range of talents within our school community, and it was wonderful to see how pupils continue to demonstrate our school values in their activities outside of school.

In addition, some members of staff were also presented with awards in recognition of their commitment and contribution to school life. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate not only our pupils’ successes, but the dedication of our whole school community.

Thank You for Supporting Come As Yourself Day

On Friday 13th February, we were delighted to celebrate Come As Yourself Day as part of Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to express themselves and embrace what makes them feel confident and unique.

Children arrived in a fantastic range of outfits—cosy clothes, cultural dress, favourite colours, club uniforms, and plenty of imaginative choices. It was lovely to see how proudly they shared a little bit of who they are with their classmates.

Thanks to your generous £1 donations, we began raising funds for our new Outdoor Calm Area, which will offer a peaceful space for pupils to enjoy during break and lunchtimes. This area will support wellbeing and provide a calm environment for children who may need a moment of quiet during the school day.

We are incredibly grateful for your support in helping make the day meaningful and memorable. Events like this truly highlight the strength of our school community.

WE HAVE JUST COUNTED THE MONEY AND WE HAVE RAISED A WHOPPING £203.57

Parking on School Site

Please remember that the disabled parking bays are reserved strictly for those who hold a valid Blue Badge. This applies at all times - even if you are only briefly dropping off or collecting children, including during
Wrap Around Care.

We have several parents and members of staff who rely on these spaces, and it is essential that they remain available for those who genuinely
need them.

From after half-term, we will be monitoring the use of these bays and will contact parents who continue to park there without displaying an appropriate Blue Badge. Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us keep our school community accessible for everyone.

World Thinking Day

World Thinking Day is celebrated each year by members of Guiding and Scouting organisations across the world. It is a special day that will encourage young people to think about others, celebrate international friendship and reflect on the shared values of Guiding and Scouting.

This year, World Thinking Day will take place on Sunday 22nd February. To recognise this important occasion, pupils who are members of any Guiding or Scouting groups will be invited to come into school wearing their club uniform on Monday 23rd February.

We look forward to seeing our pupils proudly representing their groups and showing their commitment to the values of teamwork, service and global citizenship that are at the heart of Guiding and Scouting.

Being Vets in Apples Class!

This week in Apples, the children have been learning about how vets help us by caring for animals. Our role-play area was transformed into a veterinary surgery, where the children took on the role of vets and pet owners. Each day, the Curiosity Box presented a new animal patient, and the children enjoyed explaining what might have happened and how they could help.

For our display board, we created bright orange and green collages to make fish and snakes, which look fantastic. The children also had lots of fun in the garden singing “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!”

Well done, Apples!

Any Post for Pears?!

This week in Pears, the children have been learning all about the post. They have enjoyed reading a story about a postman penguin and have been busy writing letters to their friends to post and deliver. They also had great fun searching the forest for letters to send to the animals who needed them.
