Achievement Assembly

Today’s assembly was a fantastic celebration of the many successes across our school. Pupils from every class were recognised with awards for their hard work, positive attitudes and dedication to their learning.

We also celebrated our Platinum Times Table achievers, who have shown outstanding commitment and perseverance in mastering their times tables. Their determination and effort are something to be incredibly proud of.

Each week, our assembly highlights the wide range of talents within our school community. It is always wonderful to hear how our pupils continue to demonstrate our school values, not only in the classroom but also through their activities beyond school.

Year 1 Link and Learn

On Monday afternoon, grandparents, parents and carers were invited to speak to the children about their school experiences to support their topic, 'St Andrew's Time Machine.' The children formulated questions to find out more about school uniform, lessons, trips, friends, equipment and school buildings in the past. Families shared special photos and memories of their school and college experiences, in the UK and countries such as Romania and Germany. Thank you for supporting Year 1's Link and Learn.

Cross Country at the Worcestershire Games

We are incredibly proud of Poppy, Jagoda and Teigan, who qualified to represent South Worcestershire in Cross Country at the Worcestershire Games. Qualifying for this event is a fantastic achievement in itself.

Our parent volunteer who accompanied the girls summed it up perfectly:

“So proud of these girls! It was a fast course with some incredible runners, and all three showed real perseverance and determination. They kept going the whole way – even if they did look in a world of pain!”

Fire, Forest and Pottage!

On Monday, 4LL ventured into the forest where they had a chance to cook an Anglo Saxon pottage!

Under Mr Walton’s supervision, the children chopped logs, helped to light the fire and added herbs to the water and vegetables.

After some time exploring the forest, we went back to base camp to try the pottage. Mr Walton had added some porridge and everyone had a taste, some even asked for seconds!
