Celebrating Success in Assembly

Today’s assembly was a wonderful occasion, highlighting the many achievements of pupils across the school. Children from every class received awards, recognising their effort, enthusiasm and dedication to their learning.

Also in assembly, it was announced that Rowan are currently leading the House Cup, and Ash won the Spring Term Attendance Trophy. Congratulations!

Our weekly assemblies continue to shine a light on the wide range of talents within our school community. It is always a pleasure to hear how pupils demonstrate our school values, both in their learning and through the wider opportunities they take part in beyond the classroom.

A West End Experience to Remember: Year 5 Enjoy Matilda the Musical

Matilda The Musical Tickets | London TheatreOur Year 5 children were full of excitement on Wednesday as they travelled down to London to watch Matilda in the West End. They were impeccably behaved throughout the trip and represented our school wonderfully, making us incredibly proud. The experience clearly made a lasting impression, with pupils saying, “It’s like going to Hollywood but in the UK,” “Unforgettable, unreal moment,” and “I will remember this for many years to come.” Inspired by what they saw, the children are now eagerly looking forward to auditioning for parts in our upcoming school production. 🌟🎭

Celebrating Dojo Success in Tuesday’s Assembly

Tuesday’s assembly was a fantastic celebration of pupil achievement, as we proudly awarded over 100 Class Dojo certificates. These certificates recognised children who have reached impressive milestones of 100, 200 and even 500 Dojo points.

This is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the consistent effort, positive behaviour and commitment to learning shown by our pupils each day. It was wonderful to see so many children recognised in front of their peers, with smiles of pride all around the hall.

We are incredibly proud of every child who received a certificate - what a brilliant achievement! Keep up the excellent work as you continue to build on your success.

Hieroglyphs and History: Year 3’s Detective Day

Year 3 had a fantastic trip to the Ashmolean Museum, where they stepped back in time to explore the fascinating world of the Ancient Egyptians. For the day, the children became Egyptian Detectives, investigating real artefacts and using clues to uncover how people lived thousands of years ago.

The pupils explored mummies, statues, hieroglyphs and ancient objects, carefully observing details and asking thoughtful questions. They showed great curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent behaviour throughout the visit, impressing museum staff with their knowledge and detective skills.

This Week in Pears

This week Pears heard the story Jack and the Beanstalk. At Forest School, we all had a competition in teams to make the best beanstalk using sticks found in the forest. All of our beanstalks looked different. Clare's team had a wide base, Michelle's team used large logs, Lucy's team used leaves to help make it look better, Vinny's team was sturdy, Leonie's team was miniature and Louis' team was hidden! Great team work everyone!
