Achievement Assembly

Today’s Achievement Assembly was a wonderful celebration of the many successes and accomplishments of our pupils. Children from across the school were recognised with class awards for their hard work, positive attitudes and dedication to learning.

We also celebrated a range of impressive out-of-school achievements, with children proudly sharing certificates and awards from activities including swimming, karate, Rainbows, football and gymnastics, to name but a few. It is always fantastic to hear about the talents and achievements our pupils develop beyond the classroom.

In addition, we recognised our Values Champions, both pupils and staff, who consistently demonstrate generosity through their kindness, support for others and willingness to help those around them.

Finally, we all wished Miss Fowles the very best of luck in her new job.

Thank you to Reverend Andy Smith and Reverend Michael Edwards, for coming into our Year 3 class to talk all about 'Fishers of Men'. They also talked to us about their day-to-day life being a minister. Year 3 had great questions to ask them! Michael Edwards (on the right) is going to be our new local Vicar, St Andrew's Church in Hampton.

Little Litter Warriors

A huge well done to all of our children who took part in litter picking with Karen from Little Litter Warriors! Over the week, Years 2–5 showed fantastic commitment and enthusiasm in helping to care for our environment. Year 2 worked hard to tidy the school grounds, while Years 3–5 ventured out into the local area, collecting an impressive amount of litter.

The children were respectful, worked brilliantly as a team, and showed real dedication to looking after our local community. We are so proud of their efforts, what a fantastic example they’ve set. Well done, everyone!

This display not only highlights the fantastic creativity and effort of our school, but also pays a heartfelt tribute to the truly remarkable achievements of Sir David Attenborough.

St Andrew’s Retain Evesham and District Finals Trophy After Outstanding Football Display 🏆⚽️

St Andrew’s were crowned Evesham and District Finals champions once again after delivering an exceptional series of performances throughout the tournament. Having qualified for the finals, they faced strong competition from St Mary’s, Badsey, and Bengeworth, who had also progressed from their respective leagues.

St Andrew’s 2 – 0 St Mary’s
St Andrew’s made an excellent start to the tournament with a confident 2-0 victory over St Mary’s. Superb goals from Frankie and Josh secured the win and set the standard for the matches ahead.

St Andrew’s 3 – 1 Bengeworth
The team continued their impressive form against Bengeworth, earning a well-deserved 3-1 victory. Goals from Josh, George, and Arnas showcased some fantastic attacking football.

St Andrew’s 1 – 1 Badsey
The final match against Badsey proved to be a dramatic and tense encounter, with both teams in contention to become overall champions. St Andrew’s dominated possession and created numerous chances but were unfortunate to fall behind when Badsey scored with a deflected effort from their only real attack of the game.

With only minutes remaining, St Andrew’s continued to apply relentless pressure. In the final minute, Josh was brought down in the penalty area and a penalty was awarded. George “The Iceman” Miller calmly stepped up and confidently converted the spot-kick, securing the draw, retaining the trophy, and sparking jubilant celebrations! 🥳

Every player contributed brilliantly to this achievement, including those who helped the team qualify during the earlier rounds. The tournament featured excellent teamwork, outstanding saves, determined defending, and moments of real quality in attack. Huge congratulations to the team on a fantastic achievement! 👏🎉

Final Standings
1st – St Andrew’s – 8 points
2nd – Badsey – 7 points
3rd – St Mary’s – 6 points
4th – Bengeworth – 4 points
