Sports Day Fun in the Sunshine!

What a fantastic Sports Day we enjoyed today! The sun was shining, creating the perfect atmosphere for a day full of energy, excitement and teamwork.

Children from across the school took part in a variety of races, from traditional sprint events to fun and creative team challenges. It was wonderful to see everyone giving their best effort, cheering on their classmates and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special thank-you goes to all the parents and carers who joined in and took part in some of the races. The children loved seeing you get involved, and your enthusiasm helped make the day even more memorable.

Now the excitement continues as we wait for the final scores to be counted. Which House will be crowned Sports Day champions this year? Will it be Rowan, Ash, Oak or Maple? The results will be announced soon, and we can't wait to find out which House will be victorious!

Well done to everyone who took part and helped make Sports Day such a successful and enjoyable event. πŸ…β˜€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽ‰

There will be more photographs on next week's newsletter.

Forest School Fun!

On Monday, our Forest School Club enjoyed another fantastic afternoon of outdoor learning, exploration and adventure. The children embraced their natural curiosity as they explored the woodland area, investigating the environment around them and discovering new things along the way. Their inquisitive minds were busy asking questions, examining natural materials and finding exciting treasures hidden amongst the trees and undergrowth.

The children demonstrated excellent teamwork and creativity throughout the session, using their imaginations to create, build and explore. It was wonderful to see their confidence growing as they took on new challenges and developed their outdoor skills.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was preparing and cooking delicious flatbread hotdogs over the fire. The children thoroughly enjoyed making their own bread, carefully cooking it and then enjoying their tasty creations together. There were plenty of smiles as everyone sampled their hard work!

Forest School continues to provide valuable opportunities for children to learn through hands-on experiences, develop independence and build a deeper appreciation of the natural world. We are already looking forward to our next adventure! 🌿πŸ”₯🌭

This Week in Apples!

This week in Apples, we have been learning about aeroplanes. The children enjoyed taking part in our airport role-play area, where they had great fun pretending to fly the plane and pulling their suitcases through the airport.

We have also had some lovely tuff tray activities this week. The children particularly enjoyed exploring the rice tray with aeroplanes and cars.

On Wednesday, Year 4 held their cake sale, so we took the children over during break time to buy a cake. As you can see, they thoroughly enjoyed their treats during snack time! 🍰✈️😊

Members of our Netball Club recently took part in a Netball Festival at Sedgeberrow, where they had the opportunity to put the skills they have been developing in club into action. The children showed fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event, and it was wonderful to see how much they have progressed. They played brilliantly and represented the school superbly. A huge thank you to our parent helpers for their support in running the club and helping the children achieve so much.
