Achievement Assembly

Achievement Assembly provided a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment shown by our pupils throughout the week. Children across the school have demonstrated commendable focus, kindness and a consistently positive attitude towards their learning. It was a pleasure to present class awards to pupils from every year group in acknowledgement of their hard work and determination.

We were also thrilled to celebrate the achievements of three pupils who received their Platinum Times Tables Awards. This remarkable accomplishment reflects their dedication, perseverance and mastery of their times tables, and we are incredibly proud of their success.

In addition, pupils proudly shared certificates and awards representing accomplishments in sports, hobbies and personal pursuits beyond the classroom, highlighting the wide range of talents across our school community.

This week’s assembly served as a reminder of the many talents within our school and the admirable way our pupils continue to thrive. Well done to all of our award recipients, and to every pupil for their hard work, perseverance and positive attitude throughout the week.

Year 5 Shine in a Truly Magical Performance of Matilda

What an incredible achievement by our Year 5 pupils in their production of Matilda! From the opening scene to the final curtain call, the children captivated the audience with their confidence, energy, humour and remarkable talent. Every performer should be immensely proud of what they accomplished.

The production showcased not only impressive acting and singing, but also a level of professionalism that exceeded all expectations. The children brought the beloved characters to life with enthusiasm and authenticity, delivering memorable performances that had the audience laughing, cheering and, at times, wiping away a tear. The confidence shown on stage was outstanding, and it was clear how much hard work, dedication and teamwork had gone into preparing for the show.

The musical numbers were performed with great passion, while the choreography and staging demonstrated the pupils' commitment to making every moment count. Whether they had a leading role or were part of the ensemble, every child played an important part in bringing the story to life.

One audience member summed up the evening perfectly, saying:

“This was the best production I've seen at the school.”

Another commented:

“Matilda is built for the West End, but the children pulled it off like West End actors.”

These glowing remarks reflect the high standard of the performance and the tremendous effort shown by all involved.

A huge thank you must go to the staff and families who supported the production behind the scenes, helping to create such a memorable experience for our children. Most importantly, congratulations to our fantastic Year 5 cast, who demonstrated courage, creativity and determination throughout.

It was a production that will be remembered for many years to come—well done, Year 5! ⭐🎭👏

A Wonderful End-of-Year Forest School Celebration

It was wonderful to see our families fully engaging with the environment, creating special memories with their children, and gaining a deeper understanding of how we use Forest School as part of our weekly learning experiences. 🌿😊

End of Year Forest Celebration

On Wednesday morning, our Nursery children invited their parents to join them for a special end-of-year celebration in the forest.

The morning was filled with lots of outdoor adventures as families enjoyed a variety of activities together. The children loved taking part in mud painting, bug hunting, a scavenger hunt, swinging, and creating homes for different woodland animals and birds. It was wonderful to see everyone exploring, learning, and making memories in our forest environment.

A huge thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us and helped make the celebration such a special occasion. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of a fantastic year together. 🦅 🌳  🥳

The Summer Reading Challenge Has Officially Begun!

Children across Worcestershire are invited to take part in this year's Summer Reading Challenge: Read to the Beat.

The challenge is simple: read six library books during the summer holidays. For every book read, children will receive a sticker for their Read to the Beat sticker book, as well as the chance to earn some exciting bonus rewards along the way.

Reading over the summer is a great way for children to relax, have fun, and keep their minds active during the school break. Regular reading helps maintain skills and can make the transition back to school in September much easier.

Research shows that children who read regularly often achieve higher academic attainment, while also developing their creativity, imagination, and confidence. Reading can also support positive mental wellbeing, providing a relaxing and enjoyable escape into new worlds and adventures.

Visit your local Worcestershire Library to sign up and start your Read to the Beat journey today!
