Celebrating Successes

This week’s Achievement Assembly was a wonderful occasion to recognise and celebrate the many successes of our pupils. Throughout the week, children across the school have shown resilience, determination, kindness and a positive approach to learning. Their hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to embrace new challenges continue to make us immensely proud.

We were also delighted to celebrate our fantastic outside achievers. Children proudly shared their accomplishments in activities beyond school. Their dedication, perseverance and commitment to developing their talents were truly inspiring, and it was a pleasure to acknowledge these achievements with the whole school community.

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners and outside achievers. We look forward to hearing about even more of your wonderful achievements in the weeks to come.

 Year 5 Cross Country Success!

Our Year 5 pupils travelled to Prince Henry’s High School on Tuesday, to take part in a cross country competition, and what a fantastic morning it was!

Every single child represented our school brilliantly, demonstrating excellent determination, perseverance and sportsmanship throughout the event. We are incredibly proud of all our runners, who tackled the challenging course with enthusiasm and gave their very best effort.

A special congratulations goes to Elizabeth, Nora, Tilly and Hughie, who all finished in the top 10 of their age category. Their outstanding performances have earned them a place at the County Cross Country Competition in January. What an amazing achievement!?

Respecting Our Community

We have recently been contacted by local residents regarding children entering private property and gardens. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all pupils and families of the importance of respecting other people's homes, land and belongings.

Being a good neighbour is an important part of our school values. We ask parents and carers to speak with their children about treating others' property with care and remembering that gardens, driveways and private land should not be entered without permission.

Thank you for your support in helping our children show respect, responsibility and kindness within our local community. Together, we can ensure that St Andrew's pupils continue to be positive ambassadors for our school wherever they go.

This Week in Pears

This week in Pears we have been loving our conkers for play!

We have used the conkers for painting, for rolling and racing and for using in our mud kitchen to make conker pies and soup.

We are loving our autumnal play!

This Week in Apples!

This week, we explored the wonderful world of our five senses. The children enjoyed bringing in different snacks to taste and talking about the flavours they experienced.

We also took part in a variety of exciting sensory activities, including exploring smelly pots, investigating shredded paper mixed with sensory treasures, and using our senses to describe what we discovered.

Our main focus was Kim’s Game, where the children used their observation and memory skills to remember a selection of objects. They were incredibly good at spotting details and recalling what they had seen, showing excellent concentration and enthusiasm throughout the activity.
