Safeguarding at St Andrew’s CE School and Nursery

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility at St Andrew’s CE School and Nursery. We are committed to creating a safe, caring and supportive environment where every child feels valued, listened to and protected.

All staff, volunteers and governors have a responsibility to be alert to concerns about a child’s wellbeing and to report any concerns promptly. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong to raise a safeguarding concern. If something worries you, please speak to a member of our safeguarding team.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) are available to provide advice, support and guidance. Our Governor with safeguarding responsibility also provides oversight of our safeguarding arrangements.
