Enrichment
At St Andrew's we place significant value on how we enrich the lives of our community. Our vision is for all to experience joy and find friendship as a result of belonging to our community.
Our curriculum is designed to instil in pupils the values the school holds dear, but also to recognise that the pupils, parents, families as well as our staff are the school.
We know that children learn best when it is authentic, fun and engaging. Therefore, regular trips and events take place throughout the year. At every opportunity, we seek to learn in the outdoors, making the best use of our outstanding forest school space.
Children are assigned to a house when they join our school and compete in friendly and competitive events throughout the year. Dojos are converted to house points and these are totalled to see which house is in the lead and to offer an incentive to do the best they can. Our houses are Ash, Maple, Oak and Rowan - all trees which can be found on our beautiful school grounds. Results to these events are celebrated during our Friday celebration assembly.
