Enrichment

A significant emphasis is placed on enriching the lives of our pupils and their families through a wide range of opportunities. We see this enrichment as part of our curriculum. Linked with our vision, we want to develop individuals that are deeply grounded in themselves, connected to their peers and community and who care for and value the community, country and world in which we live.

Our core values are respect, perseverance and friendship. It is our vision that as pupils develop these core values, they will develop hope for the future, with the skills to thrive, joy in the friendships and connections they have developed and the ability to lead peaceful and fulfilling lives.

Every pupil matters deeply in our school. We see them and connect through the quality of interactions and our authentic care for each pupil and their family.

Our enrichment offer focuses on the following:

  • Bringing our curriculum to life through authentic experiences and visits
  • Providing opportunities for meaningful connection through sport, residential and charitable work
  • Leadership opportunities and a sense of responsibility for our school and wider community
  • Motivating pupils through experiences to raise what they can deliver and achieve to a higher standard through events such as theatre performance in school and visits
  • Listening to the hopes and aspirations of our pupils and involving them in the planning of opportunities to meet their hopes and aspirations

We track and analyse engagement in our enrichment offer to ensure opportunities to thrive are open to all and a range of interests are experienced.

Pupil voice through pupil parliament and class suggestions inform further development of the offer as does our analyses of the impact of the opportunities delivered.
