This week in Apples, we've been learning all about buses!
This week, the children in Pears have been exploring the concept of time. They've had lots of fun engaging in hands-on activities, including building trains outdoors, investigating clocks, noticing differences on clock faces, threading the tails of mice, and even timing each other as they filled cups with pom poms. It's been a playful and exciting way to learn about how time works!
This week, Year 5 paid a visit to the church and represented St Andrew’s with great respect and maturity. They sang hymns beautifully, shared prayers, and took time to reflect thoughtfully. The children also had a meaningful conversation with Elaine about the vital role of our future Community Leaders, who will help strengthen the connection between school and church. It was a memorable visit that celebrated both the children’s contributions and our deepening community partnership.
This afternoon, our Year 5 children were incredibly brave and put themselves forward to represent their houses as house captains.
We were delighted to welcome some of the trustees at John Martin's Charity for a visit to our school today.
