  • Year 5MS’s Forest School Adventure

    Year 5MS had a fantastic time at Forest School last week! Using great teamwork skills, they worked together to stay connected as they searched the forest for hidden Maya temples. The children mapped out their routes carefully and supported each other every step of the way. A huge thank you to Mr Walton for leading such an exciting and memorable session!

  • Nigel Huddleston MP visit

    Earlier today, we were pleased to welcome our local MP, Nigel Huddleston, to St Andrew’s. He visited to tour the school, explain his role, and take part in a Q&A session with Year 5. During the session, we asked him lots of questions about his responsibilities and what it's like to be a leader. He shared that he meets with the Prime Minister every Wednesday at 12pm for Prime Minister’s Questions, where they discuss what’s going well and what needs improvement in our local area. Speaking with him was really valuable, especially as we begin preparing for our own school leadership elections.

    Each week, our Achievement Assembly highlights the hard work, creativity, and progress taking place both inside and outside the classroom. From sporting triumphs and academic milestones to musical talent and personal growth, we proudly recognise and applaud every success.

  • Fun in Apples Class!

    This week in Apples, we have been exploring the topic ‘All About Me’! The children have been learning to recognise and celebrate what makes them unique. We have had lots of fun creating faces using paint, open-ended materials, and even silly Mr Potato Head combinations!

    Alongside our creative activities, we've also been focusing on important social skills like sharing and taking turns. The children have done a wonderful job settling in and getting to know one another.

    Pears children have had a great first week back. We have really enjoyed playing outside, despite the rain, using our new water wall, mud kitchen and stage. A massive thank you to the Jaskulski family and the Wos family for helping us to improve the Nursery and Reception garden areas. The children are very grateful!

  • Year 5 set sail on an amazing adventure

    Year 5 performed incredibly in their production of 'Pirates of the Curry Bean'. There was much laughter, great singing and fun was had by all.
