At St Andrew's, we seek to encourage children to read. It is the key to unlocking learning in all areas. During the younger years, we provide a reading book each week linked to our phonics scheme. The phonics book should be accessible in that it contains letter structures that the children will have been taught during phonics lessons. Children also have a choosing book, to read alongside their parents. This book maybe less accessible and will contain some letter patterns that they will need support with reading.
