Term time holidays should be avoided as school attendance is vital for children to keep up with their learning. Even short absences can have a huge impact on pupil's progress in their skills and knowledge and it is very difficult to catch up on missed opportunities. However, we know that there are exceptional circumstances where it may be necessary for your child to miss school. We appreciate parents notifying us of this in advance so that we can consider this in our learning progression. When absences are for exceptional circumstances, we are able to authorise them.
